[RESOLVED]Why js files are so complicated one liners only?

There days the trend is that all the js fileshave one long line.

Why js  files are so complicated one liners only? It makes it so difficult to customize

That’s usually the minimised version where all the white space is stripped to reduce file size. They typically have "min" somewhere in the file name. You should be able to get development versions of these files. Those are formatted and often contain comments.

Apart from what Mike said, some people minify their JS as a way to obfuscate the javascript code as well. When you minify the javascript files, the variable names etc. will be meaningless so it’s hard to interpret and understand the code.

If you just need to see the code, you can make it bit readable by using some unminify converter like below
