Am designing an article blog page, where users can post stories, feeds and the likes..
I want to use a third party text editor like tinyMc but how do I design my data size in the database to accommodate longer words more than 3000 characters.
you can use e.g. varchar(5000) or nvarchar(5000) to put 5000 characters of text or even varchar(max) or nvarchar(max) data types which is about 2 GByte of space
I use nvarchar(max) for that in SQL Server. The equivalent in SQL Compact Edition is ntext.
