[RESOLVED]Is asp.net mvc 6 released and what are the major differences between asp.net mvc 5 & mvc6

I have read an article that the next asp.net mvc 6 will be based on new fundamentals comparing to previous asp.net mvc releases . so i have these questions:-

  1. when asp.net mvc 6 be officially released ?

  2. what are the major differences will be between asp.net MVC 5 & asp.net MVC 6 ?and are these changes quite big comparing for example between the changes from asp.net mvc4 to asp.net mvc 5 ?

Thanks

MVC 6 will not rely on System.Web which means that the difference between MVC 5 and MVC 6 is huge. They are basically different frameworks. You can read more information here: http://www.asp.net/vnext

but if it is a new framework,, then asp.net mvc 5 and previous versions will not be based on the latest Microsoft framework ?, asp.net mvc was released on 2010 so it is quite short time , till we get a new framework , is this correct ?

Thanks

Apparently there will be guidance and tools that help with porting (http://forums.asp.net/post/5708071.aspx) but I wouldn’t expect it to be that easy.

They will continue to work side by side on the existing framework.
